Is Talk Like A Pirate Day Real?
International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a holiday (a parady) created in 1995 by John Baur and Mark Summers of Albany, Oregon, who proclaimed September 19 each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate. It's even in the dictionary; "Talk Like a Pirate Day is a silly, informal holiday celebrated by speaking in the manner of a classic fictional pirate character—saying things like Arrr, ye scallywags and Ahoy, mateys." - Dictionary.com
So yes I guess, it really is a holiday but maybe not so "official". How then can you show your support?
